The Political Economy of Long-Term Revenue Decline in Sri Lanka

The Centre for Poverty Analysis hosted a talk by Professor Mick Moore based on his study ‘The political economy of long-term revenue decline in Sri Lanka’ at the Centre for Poverty Analysis on July 12, 2017. Prof. Moore, in his talk examined the political and institutional processes that led low revenue collection and the declining focus on social welfare provision. Mr. Anushka Wijesinha, Chief Economist of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was the Discussant at this event.
Professor Moore is the founding Chief Executive Officer of the International Centre for Tax and Development, UK.
