Making Sustainability the Next Metric: the Post 2015 Development Agenda
The intent of this initiate was to create a dialogue on the next phase of the Millennium Development Goals and how they can incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals. This debate gathered momentum, particularly in the run-up to the United Nations post-2015 agenda that includes calls to integrate social, economic, and ecological dimensions of sustainable development (coming out of the Rio+20 Conference) in to the next global developmental framework.
The Forum featured a panel that discussed the sustainability in the development agenda:
- Hon. Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka (pre-recorded interview),
- Razina Bilgrami – Country Director, UNDP
- Dileepa Witharana – Senior Lecturer, Open University
- Priyangi Jayatunga – Senior Researcher, MIND Institute
