Junior Research Professionals

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Peradeniya 2019, MA in Economics, Postgraduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Peradeniya 2021 and is currently reading for her Mphil. in Economics at the Postgraduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Peradeniya. She has 3 plus years of academic research experience and a keen interest to work in the field of economics. She is attached to the Basic Services and Social Protection thematic.

Prashani holds a  BSc (Hons) degree in Agricultural Technology and Management, Majoring in Applied Economics and Business Management at University of Peradeniya in 2022 and currently reading for Masters in Agricultural Economics at the University of Peradeniya.  She is currently working under the administration of CEPA.

Areas of Interest: Poverty, Agricultural Economics , Environmental Economics

Kalara holds a LLB Honours from the University of London and a BA Honours Degree in International Relations from the University of Colombo and is currently reading for her Masters in International Human Rights Law from the Birmingham City University. She is interested in interdisciplinary research and advocating for human rights. She has published on gender, human rights, refugees, surveillance and international law.

Nulakshi holds a BSc in Operations and Technology Management with a first-class from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is currently reading for her MSc in (Research) Applied Statistics at the University of Colombo. She has prior experience in working on projects to meet company targets. She is particularly interested in working in the fields of Management, Economics, and Statistics. Nulakshi was employed as a research assistant at CEPA before joining CEPA’s team. Her methodological focus is quantitative, and she is attached to the Basic Services and Social Protection thematic.

Oshini holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Town and Country Planning with a first-class from the University of Moratuwa and is currently reading her Masters in Development Studies at the University of Colombo. She has prior experience in working on the urban development sector, both academic and industrial platforms. She is interested in the major scope of urban planning focusing the aspects of urban and rural poverty, urban economy, urban informality, gender and participatory planning.
