නාගරික දරිද්රතාවය මැනීම සඳහා ලංකාවේ භාවිතා කරන දරිද්රතා මිනුම් වල යෝග්යතාවය (Appropriateness of the Sri Lanka Poverty Line)
Description
In developing countries, poverty is generally measured in terms of expenditure on food and the expenditure on non-food needs is based on what households whose expenditures should be sufficient to meet their food needs spend on non-food. Since non-food expenditure in urban areas is likely to be higher, this technique is likely to under report poverty in the urban areas. Therefore, this study explores measuring poverty in urban areas using multiple dimensions.
